Brussel sprouts used to be the vegetable that no one would eat, but in recent years they have had a total re-vamp. I, for one, am living for it! This recipe is very easy, super quick, and combines two of the best ingredients – cheese and garlic. Give this savory and spicy side a try, and let me know what you think!
What you’ll need…
1 lb Brussel Sprouts
3 Cloves Garlic
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Salt & Pepper to taste
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Get Cooking…
To start, preheat your oven to 425F. While the oven is preheating, prep the sprouts. Cut the bottom ends off of the sprouts, and cut them in half. Once cut, rinse with cold water and pat dry.
Line a baking sheet with foil, and spray with cooking spray. Place the sprouts in a single layer on the sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Mince the garlic and sprinkle onto sprouts. Don’t forget to add the red pepper flake, salt, and pepper!
Make sure the sprouts are evenly coated with oil and seasoning, then roast in the oven for 20 minutes – checking half way through to ensure they are not burning.
Remove the sprouts from the oven and lightly cover with cheese. Finish in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is browned. Serve hot and crispy!
